What is Active Monitoring?
The Active Monitoring service helps you monitor the security level of your applications, monitoring the performance of your server and taking into consideration various parameters, such as CPU load or RAM memory. This service notifies you in real time, via an email notification, in the event of unforeseen events: in this way, you can intervene quickly and resolve the situation. The target? Guarantee safety and efficiency at all times.
Each parameter is associated with a Probe that will constantly observe the ports of the server, preset by you . You can activate the probes (performance indicators) quickly and intuitively from the service management page on your Manager Control Panel , activating and deactivating them at any time.
The probes can check if:
- the server is online: ICPM / Ping Response;
- you can access your server correctly: SSH connection;
- you can remotely access your Windows server: RDP connection;
- your site is online: HTTTP / HTTPS connection;
- you can connect to the web space of your site: FTP connection;
- connections related to email protocols: IMAP / POP3 / SMTP;
- the processor is stressed: CPU load;
- the memory is saturated: RAM occupation;
- storage disk space is running low: storage occupation.

What are our solutions?
We offer you two types of monitoring: Active Monitoring Base and Active Monitoring Managed .
Active Monitoring Base
The Active Monitoring Base service allows you to activate probes to measure the aforementioned resources. If the probe detects an altered state compared to the level initially set, the service sends you an e-mail notification, immediately giving you the opportunity to intervene to resolve the situation . Thanks to constant monitoring and in real time you can prevent stressful situations and minimize the downtime of your site.
We have designed 3 types of hobs: Small, Medium and Large depending on the number of probes that can be activated. You can activate from 3 to 10 probes to have a complete monitoring of each parameter, according to your needs.
Active Monitoring Managed
With this second type of monitoring, in addition to the Basic functions, you have a great advantage: in the event of problems detected by the probes, in addition to receiving an email notification, this plan provides for the proactive technical assistance of one of our expert technicians to solve the problem, restoring the optimal level of performance in the shortest possible time: the goal is to support you at 360 degrees.
Active Monitoring Managed also includes 3 types of plans: Small, Medium and Large, always with 3, 5 or 10 probes that can be activated.
The plans are scalable, so if 3 probes aren’t enough for you, you can upgrade your plan, for example from Small to Medium.
How is the service activated?
Once you have purchased the service , you can set up your custom probes from our Manager Panel:
- Log in to the Manager Panel with your credentials;
- Select the Add Probe item from the Menu;
- Set the parameters of the selected probes.
