Why backup is important
Backup is a mandatory step to safeguard data and ensure its correct management. What would happen in case of data loss? How much information would be lost? This is why, in a coordinated IT strategy, backup and the consequent disaster recovery policies play a central role.
Making a backup means creating one or, better, more copies of data to be restored in case of need. Our advice is to:
- Own at least 3 copies of data
- Keep copies on 2 different media
- Keep 1 copy off-site , i.e. in a location other than the production location

Website backup: hosting solutions
- Daily, web and database backup : useful if you frequently modify your website or e-commerce. The backup will be done automatically every day from 00:45 and kept safe for 24 hours. Any restoration can be started directly from the section dedicated to backups from the Manager Panel.
- Monthly, web and database backup – useful if you don’t update your website frequently. The backup is done automatically on the 15th of each month and all data is kept safe for 30 days. Here too, the restore can be started directly from the section dedicated to backups from the Manager Panel.
- Daily mail backup : allows you to have a daily copy of your mailboxes. The backup is done every night and kept for 24 hours in our backup infrastructure to offer maximum security to your data. The restore can be started directly from the Manager Panel.
- Backup First Save : it is a customized retention backup that is it will always be available and not subject to expiration. Restoration takes place in a few clicks always from the Manager Panel.
Website backup: cloud solutions
As with hosting, our Cloud solutions, such as Cloud Servers , Cloud Server HA and Private Cloud , also include the default weekly backup on all plans. Obviously, there is also the possibility to set up daily backups for projects that are subject to constant changes, avoiding the risk of losing data.
Furthermore, we have studied the most advanced solutions to offer greater autonomy and security to data, supporting you in the implementation of a real disaster recovery strategy, through the use of the following tools:

Cloud Storage
Cloud Storage, with customized retention, is a separate cloud environment that is geographically located in a different datacenter than the production Cloud. Among the strengths:
- Access to the machine via FTP / NFS / SMB or web client integrated into it
- Protected, safe and redundant data located on another datacenter
- Possibility of restoring a single file, without having to restore all the contents
- High speed file download & upload
- Space upgrade in seconds, directly from the Manager panel
- Access from any device
- Management of users and multiple accesses
- Synchronization Client from desktop to cloud storage via dedicated client (NextCloud graphical interface)
- Access via File Explorer interface integrated in the Manager panel and accessible from both browser and mobile.
Veeam
Veeam solutions are perfect for a structured replication and recovery strategy. The Veeam solutions are autonomous and external to the main machine therefore, even in the event of malfunctions in production, the Veeam console would still remain online ensuring the restoration of the backup. The main features are the following:
